Andrews Osborne Academy proudly announces that four of its students, Milo, Savan, Jak, and Shiven, have been accepted into the renowned summer camp exchange student program at Donghua University in Shanghai, China. These talented individuals have not only secured their places in this competitive program but have also been awarded full scholarships covering the entirety of the program and their living expenses in Shanghai.
Selected from a pool of over 200 applicants across the United States, our students are among the exclusive group of only 20 candidates admitted to this prestigious program. During their two-week stay in June, they will immerse themselves in intensive Mandarin Chinese language studies and participate in authentic cultural experiences, furthering their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and global perspectives.
"I am overjoyed to share this fantastic news with our community," said Mr. Peng Han, Mandarin Teacher and World Language Department Chair. "This achievement not only highlights the exceptional caliber of our students but also marks a historic first for our school’s participation in such a significant program in China."
This opportunity aligns perfectly with Andrews Osborne Academy’s commitment to fostering Global Awareness among its students, a core value that is diligently instilled through its Mandarin Chinese program and other international education initiatives.
Our students' success is a testament to their hard work, our dedicated faculty, and the supportive environment that Andrews Osborne Academy provides. We are incredibly proud of Milo, Savan, Jak, and Shiven and look forward to witnessing the growth and insights they will gain through this life-changing experience," added Mr. Garcia-Pedroso, Head of School.
As Andrews Osborne Academy celebrates this milestone, it reaffirms its dedication to preparing students for the global stage, promoting cultural exchange, and providing outstanding opportunities for international education.
