At Andrews Osborne Academy, our traditional college preparatory curriculum ensures the opportunity for each student to realize their full potential in an atmosphere that motivates academic excellence.
Our experienced teachers and advisors lead a full range of classes and an excellent college placement program, complete with college advisory services, which focuses on helping your student gain admission to their top choice university. Preparation for college is a primary objective of the Upper School program, and the intellectual rigor and variety of opportunities for all students provide a strong foundation for future academic success.
At AOA we stress the importance of educating the whole student and we embrace this philosophy beyond the classroom. With annual class trips to a variety of U.S. cities, students are able to apply the curriculum they study in the classroom to real life experiences beyond the walls of AOA. Additionally, with weekly student led assemblies and an emphasis on class presentations, students develop their public speaking skills culminating with their senior experience speech.

Academic Life
AOA offers a six-day rotating schedule where students engage in five major course subject areas each semester that include English, Math, History, Science and World Language plus a sixth elective course selected from a broad range of art and technology offerings. With over 120 courses available in the Upper School, a low teacher ratio of 6:1, and an academic advisor, students receive an individualized schedule with honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses available with a strong focus on college planning. Students must participate in our community service programs, athletics program and have leadership opportunities in any of our nearly 40 clubs and activities.
