Readiness for High School
One exciting component of the Middle School program is the Genius Project. Each year, students dream, create, and blog about a project of their choosing. We encourage students to explore their talents, develop academic and leadership skills, and build confidence while engaging in work that is individually meaningful to them. To conclude their Genius Project, students prepare and present speeches sharing their efforts with their fellow Middle School student peers, faculty, and parents.
Your child’s readiness for high school requires social and emotional development. For this reason, we have developed an advisory program that begins in the Middle School. Each student is assigned an advisor that is made available to them throughout these critically formative years. Our advisory program offer students support and flexibility to engage in a variety of active learning experiences. Through a combination of individual and small group advising, the Middle School advisory program aims to support students academically, promote personal ownership, and cultivate a sense of community through service and tradition. We feel "If you have a child's heart, you have their head" and our teachers/advisors are able to target student special interests to engage and empower them in meaningful ways.
